Welcome to the Gillam Development Plan website! We will be helping you, the community of Gillam, to create your new Development Plan and tackle your most critical Town policy issues. A Development Plan is a tool for communities to manage change. The Gillam Development Plan will consider issues such as land use, preservation of the environment, culture and heritage, economic development, and housing needs. It will be a key document to guide how the community builds its future.
Gillam Plan!
The Town of Gillam, along with Dillon Consulting Limited, will work with community members, stakeholders, and provincial partners to create a Development Plan that outlines the future growth of the community and area. The plan will build on the existing Development Plan for the Town of Gillam.
Once adopted by the Town of Gillam and approved by the Province of Manitoba, the Development Plan will direct future development and land and resource use in the community.
The adopted Gillam Development Plan will align with The Planning Act and Provincial Land Use Policies, ensuring development respects the province’s priorities for land use planning in Manitoba.
Proposed Development Plan Adopted!
The Province of Manitoba has approved the Development Plan and the Town of Gillam has fully adopted the Plan. The Plan is posted below.
